California Adolescent Nutrition and Fitness Program (CANFit)

Since 1993, CANFit has been at the heart of the movement to improve healthy eating and physical activity environments for adolescents. From grassroots to government, CANfit works with community-based and youth-serving organizations to identify local solutions and support the development of culturally competent policy and practices.

Creating Safe Places for Play: jointuse.org

By showcasing successes as well as the problem, Jointuse.org provides the tools and resources advocates need to launch successful joint use agreements, allowing for shared use of public spaces like schools with community members once schools are closed.

Human Kinetics (HK)

Since 1974, HK has served the physical activity field by producing innovative, informative products in all areas of physical activity that help people worldwide lead healthier, more active lives. HK produces textbooks and their ancillaries, consumer books, software, videos, audio cassettes, journals, and distance education courses.

LA's BEST - BEST Fit Program

The mission of LA's BEST is to provide a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for elementary school children ages 5 to 12 in the city of Los Angeles . Created in 1988, LA's BEST is a partnership among the city of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles unified school district and the private sector.
