Evaluation of the WIC Nutrition Education and Food Package Impact Study

For the "Evaluation of the WIC Nutrition Education and Food Package Impact Study" (NEFPI), the CWH evaluated cross-sectional data collected from adult WIC participants at three time points following the implementation of the new WIC food package. The NEFPI study aimed to evaluate the impacts of the new statewide coordinated nutrition education campaign, Healthy Habits for Life and Healthy Habits Begin at Birth (beginning in April 2009), and federal changes to the WIC food package (beginning in October 2009) on WIC participants’ attitudes, perceptions and behaviors regarding fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, and breastfeeding.
